India Announces Tri-Service Military Drill ‘Trishul’ on Western Frontier

**New Delhi — ** India’s armed forces are set to conduct a massive tri-service military exercise code-named Trishulfrom October 30 to November 10 along the western border adjoining Pakistan.

The exercise will involve coordinated operations between the Army, Navy, and Air Force to test joint combat readiness, surveillance systems, and rapid-response capabilities.

According to defence sources, the drill will also assess integration of newly-acquired aircraft and naval assets. Experts say the move signals India’s growing focus on border defence and regional deterrence.

“This exercise reaffirms our commitment to ensuring the highest level of operational preparedness,” said Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
