Revised NEET PG Counselling Schedule Released: Round 1 Allotment Slated for November 20

Medical Admissions Process Undergoes Scheduling Adjustments

NEW DELHI โ€“ The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced a revised schedule for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) Post Graduate (PG) Counselling 2025. The updated timeline provides critical dates for candidates seeking admission to various MD, MS, and PG Diploma courses across medical colleges in India, ensuring the admission cycle progresses efficiently.

The revisions impact the timeline for registration, choice locking, and seat allotment for the multiple rounds of counselling conducted for the All India Quota (AIQ) seats. The new schedule aims to streamline the selection process and minimize delays in the commencement of the academic session.

Key Dates from the Revised Schedule

The most critical update for candidates relates to the first phase of seat allocation:

  • Round 1 Seat Allotment: The result for the first round of seat allotment is now slated to be released on November 20, 2025.
  • Reporting and Admission: Following the allotment, successful candidates will have a defined period to report to their assigned institutions and complete the necessary admission formalities, including document verification and fee payment.

The MCC manages the counselling process for 50% of the AIQ seats in state government medical colleges and all seats in deemed/central universities, ESIC, and AFMS institutions. Any change in the schedule requires careful coordination to avoid disruptions across the thousands of participating medical institutions nationwide.

Candidates are strongly advised to refer exclusively to the official MCC website for the full, detailed, and most current revised schedule, including the dates for subsequent rounds (Round 2, Mop-up, and Stray Vacancy rounds), to ensure they do not miss any deadlines in the high-stakes admission process.
