Russian forces launched nearly 400 attacks across 15 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region, alongside multiple drone and air strikes in Kherson, Ukraine’s southern territories, killing at least 23 people and wounding dozens more.
Ukraine’s military reported that critical infrastructure—including hospitals, energy grids, and water plants—was targeted in overnight assaults. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy condemned the attacks as “a war of terror” and renewed calls for advanced air defense systems from Western allies.
The conflict, now in its 1,343rd day, shows no sign of abating, with humanitarian agencies warning of a worsening crisis as winter approaches.
