Kolkata | November 10, 2025

A capacity-building workshop for Hindi teachers from West Bengal and North-Eastern states was recently organised to help educators adapt to evolving examination patterns and competency-based assessments, according to a report by The Times of India.

The programme, part of the North-East Chapter of the National Hindi Teachers’ Development Initiative, focused on modern pedagogical methods, question design aligned with National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, and the integration of technology in language learning.

Resource persons from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and language education experts conducted sessions on innovative teaching strategies, formative assessment tools, and student-centric evaluation models.

Organisers said the workshop aims to “empower Hindi teachers to bridge the gap between traditional instruction and emerging assessment frameworks,” ensuring students are better prepared for the new competency-based learning environment.
